Ernest Hemingway

Ernest Hemingway was born on July 21st 1899,  in Oak Park Chicago, USA. He was the second child of a group of six kids. Ernest's father taught his children to love nature, build fires, and how to cook. His mother taught them more creative things, like music or art. Boxing became of Hemingway's passions. World War I showed him a new side of life, but did not leave him depressed, like most of the war vets were. He got decorated for his war efforts, and returned back as a hero. He then married Hadley Richardson who had his first son. In his novels, Hemingway uses violence extensively. The Hemingway style rocked the literary scene when it first came around. Being more simple at first, but became a revolution in a time when Victorian writing still overpowered the literary world. Ernest Hemingway's known novels            were "The Sun Also Rises" and "Farewell to Arms". Hemingway wrote elegantly and about his own experiences: fighting, hunting, fishing, and drinking. A short story of his is "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" Which revolves around a man trying to discover his memories, and what he need to feel to be accomplished in his life. Having his life being taken away every minute, by and infectious wound.
